Opportunities Abound

I hope this entry finds everyone doing well...I have been having an amazing week connecting with new associates in Texas, Florida, London and Algeria what an amazing week for potential and growth. As if that wasn't enough, I have recently been brought in on the changes to the comp plan with Healthy Coffee that are amazing...MORE MONEY and FASTER PAYOUT'S. It is all about taking care of your people if you take care of them they will take care of you, and a happy workforce is a healthy and productive workforce.
I recently went and visited the workforce development office and I saw all of these people on unemployment benefits and it was amazing to me how many of them don't want to get out of their rut they are in. I went around and spoke with several of them and got to know a few and i handed out samples of coffee and business cards and a few fliers and to my amazement several of the people stopped being interested when they learned their success was in their own hands. What a shame that so many people are not seeking success through the fruits of their own labors. However I also made several new contacts and am working closely with them now to get them up and running and on the right track. It is equally amazing to see the look on a persons face when they are handed an exciting new opportunity and given the freedom to run with it.

Fighting Poverty

Having served for almost 20 years in the Army I have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world where poverty is out of control. Most recently I was in Afghanistan in 2004 and 2005 and even though that was 6 years ago you can never forget the state of the poverty there. While there I was a security team leader for the reconstruction effort so I saw the conditions everyday. The most rewarding missions we would run were the toy drops at the orphanage or the missions to delivery school supplies to the different schools we had built around the city. It's amazing to think that the problem is so bad that there places where the majority of children can't afford pencils and paper.
Even more amazing is the good attitude many of these children keep. We would do a lot of missions to the United Nations complex in Kandahar and there was this one little fella who had a bit of a hobble, and over the year I was there I would see this boy weekly. Over my year in Kandahar he and I became friends and  he trained me so well that when we had missions going to the United Nations area I would always take a Pepsi along for him. He even knew me by name and would hobble over to my vehicle and say  " Sergeant Mulnix you bring me Pepsi?" What does this have to do with coffee? Just the other day one of my old Kandahar buddies was having coffee with me and he asked me how I got started with Healthy coffee International. Coffee and Fitness

I am sitting here having my morning cup of blend and watching the news, and I cant believe that unemployment is still at 8.8% domestically and the news is reporting this as a great thing because it's a 2 year low. Let's Change the World With Coffee

What is happening in the world today? We still have coalition troops in Iraq and fighting the Global War on Terror in Afghanistan, Libya is still under a no fly zone and the war is raging. We have major issues still in Haiti although things are getting better there, much work still needs to be done. Japan has seen major disaster and now they have issues with nuclear reactors and bad food to add insult to injury. Fuel prices are going through the roof and there seems no end in sight for the fuel crisis. Unemployment still omnipresent in every metropolitan area is there no end in sight?

Well I don't have a clue how to fix radiation, sorry but I am not a nuclear scientist. Things in Libya will get better and the longest currently sitting dictator will be gone. Unemployment is bad but what is the real problem with the workforce? Why don't people help other people get themselves solvent and gainfully employed? Having been in sales and marketing since 1994 and with almost 2 decades of military experience behind me I don't get it.
